Apple Goes Green With Macintosh Notebooks

Apple's Macbooks are the most environment friendly notebooks in the world. A new TV campaign says the company uses aluminum and glass which are easier to recycle.
Apple Inc has launched a new TV campaign this week promote a greener line of Macintosh notebooks. The company proclaims that its MacBook is the most environment friendly laptop than its rivals.

The computer maker redesigned its line of notebooks in October to be free of mercury deposits and harmful chemicals such as brominated flame retardants. The company also eliminated PVS.

MacBooks are greener because Apple has reduced the number of recycled parts by using aluminum and glass. The materials used are safer to the environment than traditional plastics.

In addition, other Apple products are now built using this environment friendly method. The products include the iPod Touch, Apple LED Cinema Display, iPod Classic, iPod Nano and iPhone 3G.

However, it's not known consumers will buy into the new green movement yet. There isn't any evidence that consumers based their buying decisions on environmental safe products.
